Governor Neil Abercrombie weighed in on several issues of importance to West Hawai`i during the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce’s annual governor’s luncheon, including his thoughts on the designation of the Keauhou Aquifer as a water management area, moorings in Keauhou Bay, the future of interisland air in Hawai`i and invasive species.
As we enter the final month of our Hawaii Legislative Session, our next impending deadline is Second Decking – the date when all bills that have been amended by the non-originating chamber must be submitted to the clerk of that chamber. This allows the amended bill to be reviewed by the chamber’s members in its final form at least 48 hours before the third and final reading.
2014 Nominating Committee of the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce hereby presents nominees for consideration as Board of Director candidates for a two-year term, beginning July 1, 2014 and ending June 30, 2016.
The AfterHours program is an opportunity for businesses to host other Chamber members and showcase their business. It’s also a chance for members to meet each other, learn about other businesses and network efficiently.
