Committee Corner: Lisa Freudenberger Announced As New Marketing Committee Chair
By Suzi Patterson, Communications and Marketing Coordinator
Lisa Freudenberger, marketing and development manager for West Hawaii Community Health Center, is a wealth of marketing knowledge on the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce Marketing Committee. As the newly appointed Marketing Committee Chair, Freudenberger discusses her excitement for her new role and shares what the committee currently has in development.
What do you like about your involvement on the Marketing Committee?
I am very thankful for the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of passionate professionals who represent a variety of local businesses. I enjoy connecting with people, especially those who dedicate time to giving back, who find common ground in working together, and who are grateful for and enjoy Hawai‘i life. It’s also exciting to support the Chamber as it celebrates its 50th Anniversary!
What are looking forward to in your role as the Marketing Committee Chair?
The role of the Chamber as a voice in the community, partnering with and representing local business interests, is critical and we look forward to leveraging the Marketing Committee so we may showcase the positive impact the Chamber has in West Hawai‘i.
Why is the Ali’i Circle Program a great value for our Chamber members?
West Hawaii Community Health Center (WHCHC) has been a Chamber member since the health center opened in 2005. As a leader in quality patient-centered health care dedicated to the well-being of West Hawai‘i, it continues to expand to meet the health care needs of the community. As a growing organization, WHCHC has found that joining the Ali’i Circle has helped showcase its comprehensive and integrated medical services and health care programs. As a nonprofit organization, participating in the Ali’i Circle is a cost-effective approach in utilizing far reaching networking and multi-channel promotional opportunities. Membership in the Ali’i Circle program expands engagement among business owners and individuals and helps to strengthen and grow community partnerships.
What is the committee currently working on and why is it important?
Celebrating the 50th Anniversary is exciting and as we look ahead, the Committee is dedicating more resources to modernize its engagement strategies with a focus on digital. To better support our community and Chamber members, we look forward to rolling out some changes to the website, migrating the newsletter onto the site, building our social media networks, enhancing SEO strategies, and refining e-communications so we may more effectively manage and deliver content and messaging.
